Retro seems to be the theme at this Hotel Janpath restaurant. It is archetypal in its cuisine, Seventies in its decor and Sixties in its service. The restaurant claims to specialize in Tandoori fare and you could give the Kalmi Kebabs and Chicken Tikka a try. Dal Gulnar and Peeli Dal are a welcome change from the Dal Makhni generally served at most Indian restaurants. If sizzlers interest you, go for Chicken Tikka Masala. But the Chinese fare is predictable: Sweet Corn Soup, Dry Chilli Chicken and Vegetable Manchurian. This place also holds mango festivals....
Gulnar
I went to Gulnar to grab a few cocktails with my friends on a Friday evening. We had a few apple and watermelon martinis, as well as mojitos. The drinks were good, quite strong but the ambience of the place did not live up to my standards. The service was also rather slow and I do not think that I will be going back there anytime soon.
