place is the authentic bengali taste and the variety of fish
preparations one gets to sample here. Given the exhaustive list of
delicacies on offer, we ordered the bhetki fish fry and egg devils as
starters....for the main course we went for the bengali polau with
kosha mangsho, rui maccher kalia, pabda maccher jhaal and chingri
maacher malaikari with shada bhaat. For desserts we had ordered nolen
gurer rosogolla and payesh. Had very good bengali food after a long
time. Very reasonable on the pockets and our best pick for weekend
lunch and dinner.

Resort Rio

We stayed at Resort Rio for 4 nights earlier this month. We had a wonderful stay. The resort has a swim up bar, which was great fun and having a cocktail in the pool was quite relaxing. They have a zorbing ball in the pool too. The rooms were clean, well equipped and the staff was friendly. The Spa was nice and relaxing. The resort is not too far from baga beach, just about 10 minutes by cab which is easily available right outside the resort. The resort also provides a complimentary pick up and drop to baga beach. However it's only 3 times a day, so it would be great if they extend this facility on an hourly basis. We were in a group of 6 couples and had two infants with us as well, the resort is kids friendly as well. Will definitely recommend this resort to all

Hotel Shanti Palace

This hotel was booked by our tour operator, our booking was for delux rooms but we were shocked when we saw our rooms. It has nothing to do with the pictures that u find above. Rooms are old, toilet & bathroom old and dirty. One night we even noticed a rat in the room. Will not recomend to stay there. The reception & corridor has been renovated but rooms are terrible.

Hotel Centre Point

The rooftop restaurant at the Center Point hotel is a very good choice when in town. The food is excellent especially the chinese, with good service by the staff. The restaurant provides two seating options - one inside and covered, another outside in the open providing awesome views of the mountain peaks around. The HPCA cricket stadium as well as the main market is at a short driveable distance from the hotel.
