I understand Evaki is now famous enough to ignore customers and probably does not need any positive feedback from customers who are ready to give you their hard-earned money in return for what we believe(d) to be a good product AND good after-sales service.
I am again writing to you after waiting for your response (for a REALLY long time!) since 3rd Jan 2015, with regards to an Evaki Solar Power Pad Model No.: SPP-01 that I had purchased a while ago.
Unfortunately, I only had a chance to open it up for use over the holidays and sadly found that the solar panel was already cracked. This was not immediately obvious as it is not very visible unless held at an angle to the light. I confirmed this when I tried charging the unit through solar light as well as indoors under a very bright light source and it did not charge either way. But when I tried charging it through the Micro-USB input port, it charges up fine. But as you will agree, this defeats the purpose of a "Solar" charger.
I understand your 3-Year Warranty might not cover damage but I am writing to you in the hope that you can either:
- Issue a replacement unit after considering my case particularly since I just opened the box (you can inspect the unit upon receipt and see that it is still in mint condition)
Or
- Please send me a replacement solar panel which I will have it replaced to make the unit functional again.
I am also open to any other solution you can recommend as I would be happy to see this unit working the way it was designed and intended and hope to use it's portable power on the move.
Once again I am hoping (by some miracle), someone at Evaki reads this and hope to hear from you soon.
