But in fact these are the ingredients of success for Lloyd Braganza whose small modest outlet churns out food that have many people waiting…nay begging for more. His small BBQ grill sizzles throughout the night; even when most restaurants have downed their shutters for the day. Pork Chops, Beef Steaks, Goan and Fusion BBQ (his USP). You ask him what is the secret of his success and he states simply- mum’s cooking. Yes, those tangy Goan masalas are made by his mother, but that does not mean that Lloyd does not have that skill at his fingertips. You will see him taking down the order, handling the cash as well as turn the steaks and chops on the grill sizzling at the doorway. Pork Chops, Beef Steaks and of course our very own authentic spirits flow freely from the garafao’s (casks) at the makeshift bar. The place is small, smoky, cozy and hot but no one seems to mind, the magic of the culinary skills keeps them glued asking for more. And come season when the world and his followers descend along that stretch - the action packed lane of seasonal delights, and when pangs of hunger starts gnawing (the frenzied activity of many has no focus on time), then Lloyd pulls out all the stops often serving his goodies till 5am in the morning. So, if best sellers sell millions of their copies to become a hit I have yet to see an operation of this sort anyway in or around Goa. And moreover you do not have to wait till midnight comes!...
